I am lucky enough to be friends with Peter and Joyce and although I live in England I have received many beautiful presents from Peter. Our first present was the Warthog Tusk corkscrew and we also have the Jackson carvers. All Peter's work is of the highest quality and have lots of unique detail on them . They are always beautifully presented which shows the attention to detail that they administer from 'workbench to door'. I want to thank you once again for the gift of your "Roman"  Friction folder. Needless to say your knife has come under some scrutiny for the last couple of days. Everyone finds it unique, and a refreshing change from the multitude of linerlocks, springblades and backlocks which abound. As a daily carry knife one could ask for nothing more. Ettore really liked your chosen handle material, and coming from someone whose career over the last 45 years has revolved around the finest woods that is quite a compliment!  He felt the opening spur was too long. I feel it is just right. Each to his own. Your friction folders’ light weight just yelled “neck knife” to me when I felt it. I carry my knife on a cellphone lanyard, and it is really convenient, especially in summer when the clothes are thin and the pockets are min! In the meantime the knife is on the desk here next to me where I can enjoy it further!

Knife arrived a few moments ago! WOW....all that I expected and then more...beautiful work.....Most importantly...I can tell the concave ( left side as you hold it in your right hand ) and the convex..Sharpen the concave , strop the convex...I generally sharpen on ceramic rods set to 16dg ( 32 degrees total v ) I hope this will work! I often "strop" by ""lightly"" pulling the blade up the ceramic against the back of the knife...same motion , angle and pressure, as stopping on leather..When I need professional "re" sharpening I send to 'Bladegallery.com' a great site and professional sharpening services etc.Even love the sheath , too !!! Thanks so much for the coasters...They are sitting prominently on the table ( conference table ) that my wife and I share between our desks...it is also the spot we share morning coffee.

As soon as I get a chance to use it , I will let you know my thoughts...Beautiful knife..

The beautiful knife arrived today! Wow! It is a very beautiful and well integrated design. The handle and blade configurations work perfectly together. The scales are equally beautiful, and look perfect with the brown leather sheath. I am extremely pleased. Thank you very much for the polishing cloth and the little treasures. I like the keyring very much. The packaging job was epic. Nothing could have happened to that knife! I have another idea for a knife, but I have to get ready to go out for the day with my wife for our anniversary. I will get back in touch with you soon.
P.S. I forgot to mention the grind, which I could not really appreciate until I cleaned off the wet finish. Very interesting. It makes for a very critical edge, which will be very easy to sharpen, if it ever gets dull. A nice thin edge like that is really useful for so many applications. Overall a very impressive knife, in combination with a great sheath, vents and all. Well done Peter!

Yesterday while looking for a knife for my nephews 18 birthday I came across your site. I really enjoyed what I saw and made contact with Joyce who was brilliant and very informative. Within hours I had chosen the knives ( I could not resist ordering one for me as well) and the process was going. Peter phoned me that evening to confirm my package had left and we had a chat, if felt like I have known him for years. The next morning at 11 my package arrived, it felt like it was my birthday. The two rabbit hunters are stunning, the workmanship is out of this world and I have many other custom made knives to compare against. My new “Mattice” was waiting for me when I got home yesterday afternoon, WOW I think it got here faster than some of my other knives for the states. LOL. What a COOL little knife and the fit and finish are just TOP notch from the scales and the liners to the mosaic pins, not to mention the awesome leather sheath, the coaster, key chain and the storage towel I couldn’t be happier with how the whole thing turned out. You know it’s not just the knife I ‘m pleased with, it’s the fact that I now have TWO people in South Africa that I consider friends. My wife Chris was commenting on how your packaging was as good as, but better than mine, probably because you had the foam cutouts. LOL

I will be posting a few pictures of MY knife sometime this coming week after all I gotta show off my name sake.

Thanks again you two and one day I hope to meet the two of you at a knife show.
